Alex Cumming, Kate Locksley, Rosie Calvert and Will Finn met whilst studying on the Folk degree course at the University of Newcastle and formed The Teacups in 2010. It’s an age-old format – a quartet of singers: two men, two women – performing an age-old collection of songs.
The Teacups are new, young, and after the success of their debut album, ‘One For The Pot’ the band take significant steps forward with their new album ‘Of Labour and Love’, an offering which represents a maturity in material and in sound.
Tickets: £16 Full. £15 Concessions.
Pete Says: It is fantastic that a cappella is being promoted by such a talented and young group of singers. This will be a special night for us all and a return 'home' for Alex as he was brought up locally and his family are great supporters of the Hall. Great to have them for their first ever visit.
