COOKIES
Our website booking system requires that your computer accept a session cookie. This session cookie contains only a session ID number (eg 63524) which identifies you as a visitor to the store, as separate from any other visitors. The session cookie contains no personal identity information, and in itself is thus anonymous, A 3rd-party cannot use anything in the cookie to identify the visitor in any way.
SESSIONS
The session ID is used only to recognize what a visitor has done during their visit to our site. This includes things like: whether they have put something in their shopping basket, whether they have logged in, and permits them to proceed through checkout and onto payment using the separate secure Paypal system.
By definition, this session cookie expires at the end of the visitor's session in the browser, or at a predefined time (typically 24 minutes) after their last "click", whichever is sooner.
We take your rights to privacy very
seriously at the Hall. Any details you give us - name
address etc - will NEVER be divulged to any organisation or individual outside
of the hall.
We only use the information collected
to provide you with on-line booking services at the hall and, with your
consent, to send you a weekly email to remind you of forthcoming events.
