Hall Facilities

The David Hall lends itself to many different activities.

We can lay out the seating as appropriate for the event and the size of audience - Close seated rows for concerts, or cafe style with tables for less formal events.

Our maximum capacity - close seated - is 150.

Seats are not numbered, if you want to be on the front row you have to arrive early.

We have easy disabled access into the hall and disabled toilet facilities.  If you tell us that you're coming to an event, we'll make sure that assistance is on hand if and when needed; also ensure that there is a space for wheelchair if required.  There is also a 'T' sound loop for hearing aid wearers and a lift from the body of the hall up to the balcony meeting room.

The floor is sprung, creating a lovely surface to dance on.  The stage is approximately 12' square and was recently raised as part of our Summer improvement works to give our audiences a much better view of performers.   Other, Lottery funded, works have permitted us to build a second balcony; improve toilet and other facilities and redecorate the hall.

The first floor balcony can be closed off to create a useful and discrete meeting room for up to 20 people and we also have presentation and projection facilities if required.

We host community events such as craft fairs, quizzes and ceilidhs.  Our monthly coffee mornings (on the last Wednesday morning of the month) are always well attended.

We have a licensed bar selling draft and bottled beer, wines and soft drinks, tea and coffee (no spirits).   Our friendly volunteers are always pleased to serve you.
