Saturday 16 June – All Day. Petherton Folk Fest 2018
Pete Wheeler, Chair of The Folk Fest committee, writes:
Following the fantastic success of last year’s event, this year’s Folk Fest promises to be even better than the last! As well as an exciting schedule of music and dance throughout the day, we have a full programme for children of all ages together plus a variety of food stalls, a craft market - and much more. Once again, as well as the main stage in Market Square, we will also be presenting entertainment in The David Hall, The Blake Hall, St Peter & St Paul’s Church and its grounds, and The Brewers Arms pub.
The Folk Fest commences with a procession into Market Square at 10.00am and performances continue throughout the day until 6.30pm. After closing the day’s events in Market Square, by popular demand the Devon-based band, The Dambuskers, will perform again at 9pm in The Brewers Arms.
The Folk Fest is a free event which can only be secured by the generosity of everyone who attends. Thanking you all in anticipation of a great day. Here’s hoping for dry weather!
